Vietnam and Angkor Wat are the best selection of famous sights. Wander the charming colonial boulevards of Hanoi, enjoy the emerald green bay of Ha Long, discover the ancient cities of Hue and Hoi An, and feel the vibrantatmosphere of modern and crowded Ho Chi Minh City. From there, we fly to Siem Reap and enjoy these last days of the exploring one of the 7 Wonders of the World - Angkor Wat.

 

Day 1 Hanoi
Dinner
After our Noi Bai airport greeting and transfer to the hotel in Hanoi, we get together for welcome drinks and a tour briefing. To finish off the day, we attend the performance of the special Vietnamese water puppetry.

Day 2 Hanoi
Breakfast - Lunch
Hanoi is filled with greenery and style, and is renowned for its cultured atmosphere. Peaceful tree-lined boulevards, romantic lakes and French architecture allow us to step back in time to a quieter Vietnam. We visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the impressive house on stilt that was uncle Ho’s residence, and view the One Pillar Pagoda. Later we admire the historical Temple of Literature, known as Vietnam’s first university. In the afternoon we visit the Ethnological Museum, one of the most interesting museums in Hanoi. Later we take an hour cyclo tour to discover the heart of Hanoi - the bustlingOld Quarter. The narrow streets are abuzz with the life of the city: trade, food and all sorts of interesting activity.

Day 3 Hanoi - Ha Long
Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner
This morning we leave Hanoi by road for Ha Long Bay, enjoying the beautiful scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and daily life of the countryside. Arriving in Ha Long, we board the traditional wooden junk. A seafood lunch will be served as we cruise amount the hundreds of astonishing islets throughout the Bay. We visit Sung Sot Cave, one of the most attractive and interesting caves and witness a splendid sunset. Dinner and overnight on boat.

Day 4 Ha Long - Hanoi - Hue
Breakfast - Lunch
Early morning coffee and tea will be served on the sundeck followed by a Tai Chi class. We continue exploring the bay and change to a small motor or rowing boat to see the Luon Cave. Passing through a pretty entrance, we enter a tranquil lake, surrounded by luxuriant trees and high stone - walls. Then we return to the cruise and enjoy breakfast before checking out. On the way to visit the Do temple we stop to enjoy a traditional Quan Ho Folk song show, transfer directly to the airport for our flight to the Imperial city of Hue.

Day 5 Hue
Breakfast - Lunch
Hue is one of Vietnam’s most cultural and historical cities. It was once ruled by the emperors of the Nguyen dynasty. This morning, we take time to visit the impressive tombs of King Minh Mang and Tu Duc. Later we cruise on the Perfume River to see the Old Thien Mu Pagoda. In the afternoon, we will visit the Forbidden Citadel and the crowded market of Dong Ba where we can bargain for anything from souvenirs and bronze goods, to Hue sesame sweetmeat and conical poem hats.

Day 6 Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An
Breakfast - Lunch
We cross the spectacular Hai Van Pass to reach Da Nang city, where we can see the Cham Museum and take a short break at Marble Mountain, then continue to Hoi An, an ancient town of meandering narrow streets dating back to the 16th century. An afternoon tour is a chance to see the Japanese Bridge, Phuoc Kien Pagoda, the ancient house Tran Phu and the Hoi An Museum. Later we can shop for tailor made clothing, lanterns, shoes and food, or simply relax on the beach.

 

Day 7 Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh City
Breakfast - Lunch
Today, we visit the controversial War Remnants Museum, the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Post office. In the afternoon, we will see Thien Hau Pagoda, Chinatown and the busy market of Cho Lon. Explore Dong Khoi Street, the city’s most upscale shopping boulevard with boutiques selling clothes and accessories by Vietnamese designers, hill tribe crafts, high quality linens and house wares. Don’t miss Ho Chi Minh City’s atmosphere by night. This city lives up to its exciting and often mischievous reputation.

Day 8 Ho Chi Minh City - Vinh Long
Breakfast - Lunch
We will depart for Vinh Long Province. On arriving in Cai Be, we hop on a  motorized boat to visit the Cai Be floating market. Experience how people exchange goods, fruit and many other commodities on their vessels. Visitors then roam into the small villages to visit the orchard, fruit plantation.We keep cruising to Vinh Long through small canals to enjoy the charm of the Mekong Delta.We then visit some handmade family business products such as the coconut candy mill, the crispy rice popcorn. We arrive in Binh Hoa Phuoc village the green pearl of Vinh Long town where we can indulge ourselves into the nature. Enjoy lunch and then take a nice walk through the
bonsai garden. Return to Saigon.

Day 9 Ho Chi Minh City - Siem Reap
Breakfast - Dinner
This morning, we are transferred to the airport for flight to Siem Reap - Treasures of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Arrival. Transfer to the hotel and free time.  Enjoy welcome dinner with Apsara Dance show at local restaurant. For those travelers thirsting for cultural highlights of Cambodia, no visit to Cambodia is complete without attending at least one traditional Khmer dance performance, often referred to as 'Apsara Dance' after one of the most popular Classical dance pieces. Traditional Khmer dance better described as 'dance- drama' in that the dances are not merely dance but also meant to convey a story or message.

Day 10Siem Reap
Breakfast - Lunch
This morning, we start our visit with the Banteay Srei, nearly everyone's favorite site. The special charm of this temple lies in its compact size, remarkable state of preservation, and the excellence of it decorative carving. Continuing on, we will see Banteay Samre. Its rose-colored sandstone walls are decorated with carvings and bas-reliefs, which are among the most accomplished Angkor has to offer. In the afternoon, we continue to the fabulous Ta Prohm embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers. Later on, we will see the Prasat Kravan, famous with its unique brick sculptures, Srah Srang - The Royal Baths" was once used for ritual bathing and the Banteay Kdei surrounded by four concentric walls. The last stop of today is Thommanon and Chaosay Tevorda temple.

 

Day 11Siem Reap
Breakfast - Lunch
We start on our bike and cycle (45 minutes) to world heritage areas on the less travelled roads. Ride among the jungle passing local villages and shop. It is a very special and active day as we will explore some of Angkor’s most beautiful temples. We will visit the West Gate of Angkor Thom - undiscovered by mass tourist. In the afternoon, we visit the famous temple: Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat is a World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology. Visit Bakheng Temple and enjoy a romantic sunset view from Bakheng hill. Enjoy a 1-hour foot massage before transfer to hotel.

Day 12 Depart Siem Reap
Breakfast - Lunch
We board on boat in Tonle Sap Lake and enjoy a brief cruise past floating villages complete with schools, restaurants, and hospitals. Then we visit Puok which is home to the Artisans d’Angkor Silk Farm. Here we will witness the entire silk production process, from the silk worm munching on the Mulberry leaves, to spinning their cocoons, the cocoons being harvested and turned into silk thread, women weaving, and of course the beautiful finished silk products, which we can purchase at the on-site boutique, a wonderful souvenir of Cambodia. Transfer to the airport for departure flight.
